Version 1 –
Two diptych panels, each 36″ x 36″ x 4″; plywood and cork backing, cherry frame and glass face. Background is oil paint; butterflies and locusts are hand cut photographic images of specimens on paper and clear vinyl and are mounted with stainless steel insect pins – no actual insect specimens were used in the assemblage as many of the images are of threatened or endangered species.
